All These Things Shall Give Thee Experience All These Things Shall Give Thee Experience by Neal A. Maxwell

My review

Listening on audiobook. LOVE it! I love hearing his voice! He is one that I think I will always miss and long for during General Conference. His words in this book are answers to prayer for me right now, I find myself saying-"Yes, that's it, isn't it!" "That's so true..." "Now that really makes sense to me." I am so grateful for the trials I have "experienced" so that I can understand on some level the things that he so eloquently describes, among many other reasons to be grateful for them.

Did I ever mention my girls are famous??

So I went to Oprah twice, I saw 2 tapings the firsts time I went and one the second week- for a total of 3 tapings in Sept. but was I shown on TV? Oh NOOooOO! See AnneMarie in that bright orange shirt and smashing scarf-in the TV screen, Yeah I was sitting right next to her! Soooo Close! This Picture was taken the night a few of us got together to watch (watch ourselves) the shows we saw being taped. AnneMarie was hilarious she screamed when she saw herself!

Can you believe how hard they are concentrating! I dont think I have ever seen a scowl quite that intense on Jamie's face before or since. They were way into it! It was on Breast Cancer so that is why they are so serious.

Sushi for Santa! I am so glad I went...

Sushi for Santa is a charity event put on by some people that I did EFY with years ago. All of the proceeds go to the Roadhouse, a transition center for homeless. (I think-forgive me if I am confusing this with another charity) They had Sushi Chefs (is there another word for this that I am not remembering?) from around the valley there to offer up the all you can eat SUSHI all night. This was their 2nd Annual event. Great Job, Pam and friends!
This is Pam and I
It ended up being a very meaningful and emotional night for me because I saw some people that I havent seen in a very long time. Not only did it suprize me to see them but it stirred a good deal of emotion in me as well. It became a day of decision for me. I made a conscious choice about how I wanted certain things in my life to be and not be, despite my natural reaction to do the opposite. I chose to act, not react. There are photo's with some of the great people I was able to catch up with and sadly there were some photo's that were only taken in my heart. Until next time ChaCha! OXOXOX

The next few are going to be out of order...Oh Well...

So my girls and I have determined that its way more important to us to spend some good time together than it is to get gifts from and for each other, so AnneMarie and I went to Boise to be with Jamie the first weekend in December... Here are some of the highlights...A very nice dinner at the Cottonwood Grill, where the waiter may have been slightly annoyed at me for my dieting issues! But he was a good sport for the most part. My stomach was not such a good sport after the fact, though!

NOW they tell us there are no photo's allowed in the store- OOPS!

Life of Pi Life of Pi by Yann Martel

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I am listing to it as an audiobook and I am loving it. I want to see the hardcopy because there are some things in it I want to READ and then write down. If anyone has this and will let me borrow it for a moment please let me know...

I am finished with this amazing book now- I did love it, but didnt like the other story so much. Wow! Its an allegory that has so many levels. I really feel like I need to Read it now, after talking to my friend Nicole I realized that there is something missed by listening to it instead of reading it-for me anyway. I need visual in order to process deeper meanings sometimes. I love that it shows how we really end up believing what we want to believe.

I know it seems like all I have been doing is reading!

Okay so I have been doing more than reading in the last 3 months but haven't had the gumption to post anything about life-been too busy living it I guess. But my motivation is to clear off my memory card on my camera- so I need to post stuff and it jogs my memory too...
This may be a marathon post-BEWARE!
Did I really not put up anything about HALLOWEEN???
One of my favorite holidays?
The week before Halloween it started off ...
So OF COURSE the girls all went to Witches Night Out for the annual brewing and cackling contest! I was OF COURSE Glinda the Good Witch again, I am considering passing her on to other Good Witches for next year, so that may have been my last go as a GOOD! Keeping that in mind I went a little nuts while dancing the night away. I was selected to be in the Contest Parade and even the DJ mentioned he had never seen Glinda get so FUNKY!
That was just to start us off...
Then on Halloween day I dressed up for work! Lots of my clinic dress up as well and I have a lot of fun going from office to office seeing what everyone has come up with THIS year!???

Me the Pirate Drug Rep!
The pics above are of my Teammate Nate, who is now working with the Vaccines division of my company-I will miss Nate a ton! We had a great time working together! He hadnt quite caught the spirit of Halloween, though! And the next one is with a friend at one of my clinics, Jo! She's a spit fire woman!
Later that day Anne-Marie and Melissa and I got dressed up together and just took a bunch of goofy pictures. Annie and I went over to our wards Trunk or Treat to see our Nursery kids in their costumes and to hand out some candy!

Sienna is the pink kitty cat and Megan (works in the Nursery with me) and her adorable little guys!
Sienna is still hanging with me (she was a little freaked out by the whole costumes thing) and my friend Stacy and her little guy Owen-who is in my nursery class as well.
And then there is Scarlette, She is a beautiful Butterfly! I am a bit attached to this little sweetie! Her family was recently allowed to legally adopt her (dad on the side) and have her sealed to them. What a miracle she is!
And then here is LUKEy-Man,Sienna and Mark the Giraffe!
Mark is in my nursery class as well, and Luke is his big brother, I have written about Luke before... Super sweet Smith boys!
Oh my gosh Could the Hadden family look any more adorable??
They were the Wizard of Oz cast! Ezmay (sound spelled?) is the munchkin down in front and will be coming into nursery soon! Cant wait!!! She is already coming in on occasion and is a busy and tough cookie! She is soooo yummy!

Then I went over to Char's house to see the kids in their costumes, Devin always comes up with the coolest costumes. It seems like they are always someone caught in the middle of a compromising action. Last year (or maybe a few years ago?) he was a guy that got hit by a golf ball in the head- ball still lodged in the forehead. This year he was a guy on the operating table with all his guts still exposed. (I think?)
Reagan and I were both PIRATES!

(Hailey didnt want her Pirate costume after they opened it so I made her pirate dress into a pirate shirt.)
THEN I went to see Tersha's kids in their costumes over at her mom's house-they were so excited about all their candy and being with their cousins. It was so fun to see them!

Sophie (7) and Alethia
